Job Summary The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment in the facility.
Duties and Responsibilities Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
Perform routine maintenance on equipment and determine when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
Install equipment, machines, wiring, or programs to meet specifications.
Read blueprints, schematics, diagrams, or technical orders to determine methods and sequences of assembly.
Knowledge of DC and AC principles and components, including motors, controllers, and PLC's.
Understand and perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting strategies, and equipment downtime scheduling.
Perform facilities maintenance involving plumbing, painting, carpentry, and other duties as assigned.
Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Safely perform duties and observes approved safety procedures.
Responds promptly to minimize downtime, and drive improvements.
Complete other duties as assigned.
Follow all GMP, HACCP, OSHA and other Food Safety and Quality policies and procedures.
Qualifications, Skills, Education Technical degree (2 year) or equivalent experience.
Problem-solving abilities.
Previous experience with packaging equipment.
Strong communication skills and ability to work with a diverse environment.
Advanced electrical, electronic, mechanical, and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work as part of the team.
Strong work ethic and desire to perform at your best.
Computer skills (Computerized maintenance management system, Microsoft Office, Etc.
) Work Environment Frequent sitting, standing, stooping, bending, twisting, walking, etc.
Frequent pushing, pulling, and handling of material.
Occasional climbing and working at elevated positions.
Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
Or more.
Repetitive hand movements.
